User Special Pages
From Picture Tutorials
When you create a user account you get two personal pages that you can edit, a user page and a user talk page. The user page is just for your own personal user profile, like your name, contacts, etc. The user talk page is for communication between users by leaving notes.
First step, if to login to your wiki account.
User Pages
Click your username in the top right hand corner of the screen. For example, we will use my username, Klubwerks. I circled it in red in the image below:
An empty page will appear, with the header "User:Klubwerks". Click on the "edit" link above the header (circled in red).
You imput whatever you want on your user profile, including email, links, contacts, a link to your personal website, etc. Then scroll all the way down and click "Submit".
Now that your page is complete, you can link to your page on the wiki.
User Talks
This is pretty much the same as the User Pages, with minor differences. Click the link "my talk" in the top right hand corner of the screen. For example, we will use my talk for Klubwerks. I circled it in red in the image below:
Click the "edit" button.
---
Imput whatever you'd like. I personally put a link to my user page and a note asking people to be polite and not post spam, in my user talk page. When you are done, scroll down to the botton and click on "Save Page".
There is an option to create "threads" in your user talk. On your talk page, there is a little + at the top of the page, right next to the "edit link". Click the + sign.
You will get a form, where you imput a subject for the thread and then your messege in the body. As an example, I used the subject "Testing" and the messege is "This is kinda cool!".
And it will look like this, when you click "Save Page".
List of Users
Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. There is a section called "toolbox". In that section, there is a link called "special pages" - click it.
A list of special pages will appear. Scroll down til you find the link for "User list" and click it.
This will show you a list of users who have accounts on the wiki. Users with the work "SysOP" next to their nick, has admin priviledges, and is likely an owner for the wiki.
